HydroSilex Recharge can be used on virtually any surface. It can be applied to Paint, Vinyl, Paint Protection Films, bare metal, stainless steel, aluminum, glass, chrome, plastic, wood, fiberglass, stone, marble, tiles, upholstery, leather, automotive paint, gel coats and more.

HydroSilex Recharge creates an extremely slick surface which serves as a repellent from environmental contaminants, while providing UV protection against fading. HydroSilex Recharge won’t fully repel dust, road grime, bug or bird residues, pollen, etc. but it makes cleaning them off easier afterwards.

Yes, you can use HydroSilex Recharge on matte or flat finishes. HydroSilex Recharge enhances the material you apply it too, so flats stay flat as intended, This applies to both factory matte finishes and matte wraps.

While HydroSilex Recharge is known for its ability to quickly and easily clean any vehicle, HydroSilex Recharge is safe to use on household surfaces as well. We have not been FDA tested to be used on food prepping surfaces. It looks amazing on stainless steel, cabinets, back splashes, glass, mirrors, etc. as grease will wipe off easily, finger prints won’t stick, it’s not flammable and it will bring out the natural look of the materials you coat. We do however recommend that you use Marine vs. Recharge in your home.

Yes, HydroSilex Recharge and Marine can be applied to a surface that is professionally ceramic coated and used as a maintenance product to help maintain the coating.

HydroSilex Recharge can last from 6-8 months but will last indefinitely longer if used routinely as it was designed. The product is designed to be layered, so the more often it is used, the longer the durability and effect.

HydroSilex Recharge was designed to be continually used for maintenance and to have the ability to be layered. Which means that the product can be applied and will add an additional layer to the existing Recharge layer on the surface with each use. We recommend 2 layers for best performance.

HydroSilex Marine is a higher concentration for a more porous surface such as a gelcoat.

Yes, you will want to remove any wax or other contaminants before applying HydroSilex Recharge. We recommend that you use HydroSilex Rewind to remove any previous wax, grease or contaminants.

Yes, HydroSilex provides protection against oxidation and fading from UV exposure. It will not correct previous oxidation or fading but it will help prevent further oxidation or fading. We recommend having any oxidation or fading corrected before applying Recharge or Marine.

Application and Use

Questions regarding application and use of HydroSilex products.

We recommend that you apply 2 layers if this is your initial or first time applying for a strong base coat if you do not have a professional ceramic coating. After your initial application you can reapply at your leisure. However, we recommend reapplying a layer at least every 3-4 months for continuous protection and easy cleaning. You may find that you need to reapply to your windshield every 1-2 months due to the abrasion from the windshield wipers. HydroSilex Recharge is designed to be layered, the more the better.

No, you do not need to use Rewind before each application, but we recommend using Rewind to ensure a good covalent bond/clean substrate before your initial application to remove any previous wax, grease or other contaminants. Rewind is also a great prepping product. You will want to wash with Silica Soap after using Rewind, then dry the surface before applying Recharge.

You will use 1oz of Silica Soap per wash bucket or foam cannon and top with warm water. Wash car as normal with a foam cannon or by hand using a sponge and dry the surface with a clean microfiber towel.

HydroSilex does not remove water spots. If your surfaces have water spots or paint imperfections, HydroSilex Recharge will enhance these imperfections and show them immediately. We recommend removing the water spots and correcting the paint imperfections.

Yes, we recommend that you prep the surface before applying HydroSilex. Depending on the type of surface, the prep work will vary. If you are applying Recharge to a surface that had wax or other coatings on you will want to prep with Rewind & Silica Soap; then dry and apply Recharge. For other surfaces you will want to make sure they are free and clean from any contaminants and then apply Recharge or Marine to the surface.

You can use HydroSilex Rewind to remove Recharge.

We recommend that you wait 14 days if it was baked or 30 days if it was air dried.

Yes, HydroSilex is a multi-surface friendly product that can be used on almost any surface, including vinyl wraps and clear bras; giving you the benefits you have seen in our videos.

No, you do not want to apply Recharge over wax. Recharge is designed as a replacement for traditional waxes and sealants. Our recommendation is to apply Recharge as the sole product and not in conjunction with a wax or sealant. Those products will not add any additional benefits and can interfere with the features of Recharge. For automotive paints, if the vehicle requires claying or Rewind, removing the contaminants will help create an even slicker surface when using Recharge.

1. Apply to a clean, cool, dry surface, clear from any wax or sealant residue. 

2. Apply to one panel/section at a time. Always use a waving motion when buffing. 
3. Do not allow Recharge or Marine to self-dry on the surface. 
4. You can apply Recharge to all surfaces on the vehicle; paint, windows, tires, headlights etc. 
5. You can apply Marine to all exterior surfaces of the vessel; paint, gel coat, windshield, vinyl, brightwork etc. 
6. Do not spray product excessively onto surface, e.g. 3-6oz Recharge per standard sized car. 16 oz Marine will do approximately 2 coats per 20-25’ vessel. 
7. Clean wipers from any overspray. 
8. Always use clean, dry microfiber towels only! 
9. Do not apply in direct sunlight, strong winds or extreme heat. 
10. Store product in a climate-controlled environment.
11. Apply 2-3 layers of Recharge (waiting 5-7 days between each application) for maximum results.

Yes, HydroSilex Recharge is great for use on paint protection film as those products do not have built in protection against UV exposure. It will help keep those surfaces easy to clean by creating a slick barrier, without the common build up by the waxes and sealants on the edges of the film.

Orders in the US are delivered within 3-5 business days. International orders can take up to 15 days. Hawaii, Alaska & Puerto Rico take 5-7 business days.

Yes, we do ship internationally. Additional fees, such as import taxes, duties and related customs fees may apply for international orders and we are not responsible for such fees.

If you ordered the wrong items and your order has not yet been fulfilled we can cancel it so that you are able to place the correct order. You can track your order using the tracking number that was sent to you via email when your order shipped. After an order has been placed, it is immediately sent to our Lancaster PA based fulfillment center. We usually ship orders within 24 business hours (this can vary around holidays). Important: Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible if a package is undeliverable because of missing, incomplete, or incorrect destination information. We do our best to avoid errors by verifying the shipping information with every customer in the order confirmation sent immediately after ordering.
